Meagan M. Faulkner | Founding Partner |Barrister & Solicitor

Meagan obtained her Law Degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan. She was called to the New York and New Jersey State Bars, she then was called to the Ontario Bar where she began her career as an Associate Lawyer, practicing Family Law at a local Family Law Firm. Following her career as an Associate Lawyer, Meagan and Christina founded Faulkner & Van Barneveld Professional Corporation and opened their Family Law firm in Barrie, Ontario.

Meagan’s strong passion in family law enables her to assist clients through difficult and emotional periods in their lives. Meagan is determined and committed to developing strategic and creative legal solutions tailored to each client’s situation. Meagan handles all matters with the utmost integrity and professionalism.

On her spare time, Meagan enjoys playing sports, camping in the summer, cooking, and spending quality time with her family.

Christina Van Barneveld | Founding Partner |Paralegal

Christina has experienced a successful background in accounting, tax preparation and small business management, she then decided to pursue her career in the legal field which had always been her main area of interest. Since obtaining her P1 License, Christina enjoyed her position as an associate Paralegal and litigation clerk within the areas of family and criminal law. Christina has since merged with Meagan to found Faulkner & Van Barneveld Professional Corporation.

As a licensed Paralegal through the Law Society of Upper Canada, Christina holds a P1 license; her background in communications, litigation and negotiation compliments her areas of practice. Christina holds high standing with clientele; she maintains professionalism and handles matters confidentially at all times, her exceptional customer service and respect for individuals provides clientele with support and confidence through what can be a challenging time.

Pavaneet Punia | Barrister & Solicitor

Meet Pavaneet, a highly skilled legal professional who prioritizes both the legal and emotional needs of her clients. With a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelors of Commerce, she has the expertise to provide exceptional service. Pavaneet's passion for family law drives her to apply her knowledge and skills effectively to each client's unique circumstances.

Following her studies at the University of Buckingham in Buckinghamshire, England, Pavaneet completed her articling at a reputable family law firm in Toronto, eventually joining Faulkner and Van Barneveld.

During her leisurely time, Pavaneet takes pleasure in discovering various aspects of her city, embarking on journeys to new destinations, and indulging in culinary adventures by exploring different restaurants.

Aditya Choudhary | Barrister & Solicitor

Adi is a seasoned legal professional, proficient in providing comprehensive litigation and legal services across various practice areas including Business Law, Criminal and Civil Litigation. With a diverse background encompassing roles such as Assistant Professor at Law and Litigation Lawyer, Adi brings a wealth of experience and expertise to every case.

Having been called to the Bar in India in 2015, Adi has been in various roles providing professional legal services across the spectrum. Since being called to the Bar in Ontario, Adi has been specifically providing legal services in Family Law and Civil Litigation. Consequently, Adi has demonstrated adeptness in handling intricate legal matters with precision and efficiency.

In addition to holding a master's degree in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School and a master's degree in Corporate laws from Panjab University, Adi boasts a robust skill set covering legal drafting, research, case management, and client relations.

Dedicated to delivering tailored solutions and exceptional service to each client, Adi combines professional excellence with a passion for personal growth and exploration. Whether inside or outside the courtroom, Adi is committed to making a meaningful impact and achieving optimal outcomes.

In his leisure time, Adi loves singing and going out on road trips with friends and family.

Fiora Van Barneveld | Law Clerk

Since joining Faulkner & Van Barneveld in 2022, Fiora has become an essential part of the team, bringing a strong blend of organization, thoughtfulness, and dedication to her role.

With a background in Advertising and Communications from Georgian College and over 20 years of experience in customer service and account management, Fiora transitioned into the legal field to take her career to the next level. Her natural ability to connect with people, combined with her keen attention to detail, has made her a trusted point of contact for both clients and colleagues alike.

Fiora plays a key role in managing client files and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the firm. Her compassionate nature and drive to help others are evident in every interaction—whether she’s supporting clients through complex processes or keeping the team running efficiently behind the scenes.

Trish Brucki | Law Clerk

Trish shares her time at the firm alongside her role as President of a Not for Profit Organization, working with children and youth for the past 14 years.

Trish began her journey with Faulkner & Van Barneveld in 2020, assisting the firm administratively, and bringing her strong business and administrative background to the firm. Her role quickly evolved to include managing client files and assisting with court documents.

Following a lengthy Family Court Proceeding herself, Trish recognized her love for helping others navigate their own journey, which is often overwhelming, stressful and complicated. Her strong organization, coupled with her empathetic nature and personal experience make her an invaluable member to our team, and to our clients.

Over the past year, our Real Estate division has seen tremendous growth, and Trish now assists that division of the firm primarily. Trish also dedicates her spare time to continuing education in the field, helping to educate our clients and expand her abilities.

Whether working with a real estate client, or speaking with a new family law client, Trish strives to not only meet, but exceed our clients' expectations.
